A woman who has spent 22 years unlawfully in New Zealand has escaped deportation because she gave birth to four children while here.
Instead, the woman has been made a resident after appealing to the Immigration and Protection Tribunal.
The 46-year-old, a citizen of Samoa, came to New Zealand as a visitor in late 1998. Her visa expired in early 1999.
