Lynette Bird originates from South Africa where she was a recruitment consultant for one of the biggest corporate recruitment firms in Johannesburg. After which, Lynette and her husband Steve opened a highly successful recruitment company that they ran for many years.

In 2000 the family left South Africa for the Balkans and within a short time they met their first Kiwis. The Kiwis had been operating in the region for over a decade and offered Lynette a job in their Immigration Consultancy Firm. This is where Lynette's career began as an Immigration Adviser. The firm specialised in Immigration Applications for New Zealand and Australia. Lynette's extensive knowledge in recruitment was a huge asset to the company because it enabled her to easily identity “skilled” workers and give guidance on career and study pathways to ensure an applicant would qualify under the Skilled Migrant criteria. After working for a few years in the Balkans they wanted to settle down permanently and decided on New Zealand.

The family arrived in New Zealand in 2003. Lynette initially worked for a recruitment company in Auckland to get hands on, Kiwi experience and learn more about the Kiwi way of doing business. Part of her duties was to provide Immigration assistance to foreign applicants who required work visas. It soon became apparent that there was a gap in the market for an Immigration Adviser who can offer a personalised service.

Lynette and Steve opened Bird Immigration Limited in 2003. They also decided to provide a mobile service for applicants in the Auckland region. The mobile service has been welcomed by new migrants as most find it difficult to get around in a new country.

We attribute the company success to our excellent pre and post customer service, settlement advice and our personal interest in the wellbeing of our clients. Our reputation in the industry has resulted in extensive referrals from applicants, recruiting firms and employers we have dealt with.

Our passion is to assist migrants to settle successfully in New Zealand. There is no job more gratifying than providing a stress free services to a client and ensuring their dream of a new life is achieved.

As a Full IAA (Immigration Advisors Authority) license holders, Lynette and Steve are qualified to provide Immigration Advise and services for all categories of Immigration New Zealand visa applications.
