A Canadian man who spent two years homeless in Auckland after running into visa trouble has been given the right to remain in New Zealand - at least temporarily.

Compton, whose last name Stuff  has agreed to withhold, lost his home, job, savings, belongings and visa when his relationship ended in 2019.

He then ended up living on the streets.
